So my wife asked me last summer to help her start a home-based business. preferably something online e-commerce oriented. Selling something she had an interest in. So, we opted to build an online store selling scrapbooking supplies. My first thought was “what the…” I don’t know the last thing about all this frilly ribboned embellishment and fancy paper muckety muck.

That’s how the story started – and now here I sit, every day more amazed at how absolutely possessed I am with the idea of getting my chosen search term “Scrapbooking Supplies” tagged to my domain at ScrapbookingSuppliesEtc.com – to pop up on the first page of Goggle’s search results for the phrase. I’ve been successful thus far – currently landing on page 2 of the results at live.com and msn search. I have a feeling that with the next round of Google updates I’ll have a pretty good start there as well.

And so it has come to pass that a wanna-be redneck – while mowing the lawn and tendering caressing a Miller Light – can’t seem to stop thinking about anything but the 60-80% margin on fluffy pretty stuff that adorns the pages of scrapbooks alongside so many baby’s, pets and vacation photos.

amazing.

Ciao.
