Providence HOA Developers Award
Providence Christmas was awarded the December 2010 Developers Award in recognition of our support of the community and the HOPE Food Bank in Aubrey. This recognition and cash gift is humbling and appreciated as it will be added to our donation collections for the HOPE Food Bank and support their efforts to help the less fortunate in our area.
As you may know, we accept donations of food and clothing for the HOPE Food Bank in Aubrey. Often people also leave cash and gift cards etc. that we also pass along to the food bank. We have always appreciated the support that our HOA gives this display each year as it absolutely helps bring awareness to the needs of the less fortunate in our area through the work we support at the HOPE Food Bank.
They will be absolutely thrilled to receive this cash gift! They don’t often receive cash gifts and hence are supporting the infrastructure with the help of local donors and a church in Aubrey. So cash donations go a very long way in helping them with things like paint, shelving, and general maintenance of the small building that they operate out of.
Thank you ALL again for the continued support in our efforts to pay it forward!
Merry Christmas!

Other Local Animated/Synchronized Displays
This year marks the first time that Aubrey area Christmas decorating enthusiasts have created more than one animated/synchronized display for your enjoyment! We are now blessed with the hard work of Steve Olguin and Shawn Tacina.
The Olguin family display is in its first year and Steve definitely shot like a rocket out of the gate with his display. It’s about 3 times the size of the first Providence Christmas (Vaderville back then) display!
The Tacina family display is in it’s second year (I think, correct me if this is wrong Shawn). Shawn takes great pride in the elements he creates for the display including some very cool shooting stars and his famous ‘Marty Fan”.
Make a night of it and go see them all! It takes a lot of hard work, time and money to put on an animated Christmas display – we’re very proud to have these folks as part of our community! If you or someone you know is also doing an animated/synchronized display in the local area, please let me know and we’ll add them here too.

Providence Christmas is Up and Running at 100%
Providence Christmas went live last night – thank you all for your patience as we built out so many additions to the display this year. We think it was worth the wait
We’ve added a few more songs for tonight’s show and will likely add yet a couple more over the next week or so. Come on out and enjoy the show!
The HOPE Food Bank
As we prepare for the upcoming holiday season and the debut of the 2010 Providence Christmas display, please keep in mind that all of our efforts go to support the HOPE Food Bank in Aubrey, Texas. The HOPE Food Bank provides food and clothing for families in far north central Texas who may otherwise go without – they are far enough away from other ministries and organizations that could help that they often go overlooked.
If you enjoy out animated show this year, please consider showing your support for the local less fortunate by placing a donation in the bin at the front of the display.
Stay tuned for more details!

It’s been quiet on the Providence Christmas website for most of the year – but that doesn’t mean we’ve been resting on our laurels! Last night we debuted our first synchronized Halloween light show. it was much smaller than out Christmas display, but was really cool and relatively easy to install for a one night use.
So now it’s on to our 2010 Synchronized Holiday display! We’ll be starting installation later this week. With a few new songs and a couple of large leaping arches and light poles to add to our animated trees, we’ve expanded yet again for 2010!
In past years we’ve stuck to a very strict schedule for installation and debut of the Providence Christmas light show. This year we’re going to manage things a bit differently. We’re planning to install the display as best we can with the goal of turning in on sometime between November 25th and December 7th. We’ll keep you posted as we get closer to the debut.
Until then – We hope you have a great entry into the fall season and hope to see you all very soon!
Stay Tuned!
