This is our seventh year of running a computer controlled light show and we’ve continued to add unique elements once again for 2012. We’re proud of the traditions that are created here and hope you’ll join us in celebration of Christ’s birth! Don’t forget to bring non-perishable canned food and clothing to leave in the donation box at the front our our display. All collections benefit the HOPE Food Bank of Aubrey, Texas to support less fortunate folks.
The show is synchronized to a variety of unique holiday tunes and can be heard by tuning your car stereo to 107.3 FM.
Hi all, I know that many of our neighbors and previous visitors are wondering why the lights are not yet installed or running yet for this year. This is the first time since 2005 that the lights have a possibility of not being up at all. Due to extenuating circumstances (work related), there is the very real possibility that we will not be able to do the light show at all this year. We will know for sure sometime later the week of 12/9.
One of the side affects of designing and installing commercial Christmas light shows and displays is that our home display is always the last to go up. This year, my business is having a beyond explainable, stellar year. We have been installing shows since late August and I have a new high profile opportunity to design a display in Los Angeles next week. If this opportunity comes together, I will not be able to do anything with our light show at home this year. That’s the price we pay for success I suppose.
At the very least, I do hope to get Santa up and running and maybe our fancy digital tree. The neighbors may also have some things ready to go. but that may not even happen until right before Christmas. So, I will apologize in advance and we’ll just have to wing it from here.
Just know that we very much enjoy creating this light show for the community and I’m disappointed that we may not be able to do it for you this year.Read More
Due some technical difficulties with other displays I work on, some of our hardware will be out of service during the first part of our normal show start time this evening. I expect that our light show will be starting this evening sometime between 7pm-8pm rather than 6pm.
Our apologies for any inconvenience.Read More
We hope to have enough of the display up and running this evening that we can turn it on. However, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to check, especially if you are planning to drive any distance. We will be adding more components throughout this week and if the display is not running this evening, it will certainly be running within the next couple of days.Read More
It was brought to my attention late this evening that some pages of this website stated that the light show would be starting tonight. The home page still had last years dates on it, but the rest of the site pages said that the show would be starting tonight.
To those of you who came out tonight I sincerely apologize and hope you will let us know when you come out again so that I can offer a personal apology. For those who are waiting anxiously, we’re are hoping to go live on Sunday, December 9th if all goes well. But if you are driving a long distance to get here, I would highly advise sending a quick email to verify before making the drive.Read More
Several local animated displays – including Providence Christmas – have been included in a VH1 compilation of the “Best Xmas Displays Ever”. Lots of friends and acquaintances are included in this video piece as well including Richard Holdman and Jeff Trykoski.Read More
